About Dr. Roger Hall

Dr. Roger Hall helps people learn to monitor and manage their thinking. For 25 years, he has consulted with leaders from all types of companies, judges in federal courts, company owners, executives, university faculty, social workers, teachers, nurses, construction workers, landscapers, and box-makers. He helps his clients become better versions of themselves so they can improve their own lives and the lives of those they serve.

Happy Relishing in Life’s Simple Pleasures

The father of three beloved children, Roger and his wife Patty live outside Boise, Idaho. They currently live on the edge of the Boise National Forest where they look out their window down a canyon onto a hillside of pine trees. They traded the nighttime sounds of car alarms for elk bugling in their yard. They have a cat that retrieves and a Labrador that doesn’t.  They have two horses that act like eight-year-old boys at recess.

A great day for Roger includes jumping around on rocks in the mountains followed by an evening at the movies with a bucket of popcorn.

Staying Happy Being Productive

You Are in Charge of Your Success

Are you living the happy and successful life you want? Do you struggle to make the changes necessary to achieve your goals? What could you accomplish if you were more productive every day? Staying Happy, Being Productive gives you the tools you need to transform your life.

Business psychologist Dr. Roger Hall has been observing and working with highly successful people for over 25 years and in that time, he discovered a pattern of habits that work as a foundation for their success and happiness. He calls these habits the Big 10, and they pertain to the 10 aspects of your life that lead to either success or dysfunction.

Staying Happy, Being Productive teaches you to monitor these aspects of your life and gives you practical tools and techniques to make improvements by addressing one thing at a time.

Your habits and behavior stem from your thoughts. Dr. Hall teaches you to monitor and manage your thinking. Improve your life and you’ll improve the lives of people around you, whether that’s your family or your team.

You’ll learn:

  • How to control your habits to become more successful
  • How to find happiness in your work
  • How nutrition can change your brain
  • How a faith life can make you happy
  • Why having fun is so important
  • How your thinking affects your productivity and happiness
  • How successful people think about money
  • What is needed for a good friendship
  • Why your home life can make or break a successful life
  • How a good workout can improve your mood

Discover how to harness the power of thought to improve your habits, your productivity, and your happiness.

Change Begins With Thought

Before you can make any kind of improvement, you must first monitor and manage your thinking. Thinking is the foundation of all behavior, so if you want to change your habits, you must learn to control your thoughts. Staying Happy, Being Productive applies this concept to each of the Big 10 habits with simple mental tools and exercises to help you apply these habits to your life.

As you begin to monitor your thinking, you’ll identify unproductive thoughts that derail your productivity and even your happiness. Sometimes those thoughts are inaccurate, but you may believe they are true because of past experiences, cultural upbringing, or natural tendencies.

The first step is to dip into your stream of consciousness to sample and take note of what’s going through your mind. You’ll find themes and underlying messages that influence your perceptions and attitudes. Once you identify those themes, you can evaluate what you want to change. This is the first act of character development for mental discipline, a trait shared by many highly successful people. Mental discipline doesn’t come overnight. It takes practice. You can learn to monitor and manage your thinking, and you will be happier and more productive.
