VICTIM To SURVIVOR To THRIVER
The Dr. Theresa Nicassio Show
After Logan Seelye shares his inspiring story, hear Melody Owen talk about how you can shift from being a “Victim” to a “Survivor” to a “Thriver,” as she educates and empowers you on your quest for greater joy and vitality in your life.
About Melody Owen
Melody Owen is on a lifelong journey to transform attitudes about health and wellness. Growing up on a farm and spending her youth in gymnastics, she brings a fresh perspective to living well and loving life. Sixteen years ago her mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and Melody has been her caregiver, her advocate, and her guardian. Two years ago, Melody’s daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury, a second concussion in 18 months. Her recovery taught both of them a great deal about love, self-care and determination. Life is going to happen, embrace it, and “choose happy”. Her book, Fit and Fabulous, takes the reader on a yearlong journey from frustrated to fit and fabulous, where Melody redefines conventional notions about what it means to be “fit” and “fabulous” in mind, body and spirit.

Many of us want to lose weight, get fit and stay fit but no matter what we do, we do not lose the weight. We feel like we are on a hamster wheel running endlessly and getting nowhere. Fit and Fabulous is not another diet and exercise book. Instead, it helps you understand your relationship to food and fitness in a fun and engaging manner. Create a healthy lifestyle that suits you. One you can live with now and in the future. No more deprivation diets and gym workouts that do not work out.
Do You Have A Question Or Topic You’d Like Me To Address?
The “Because You Asked” radio show segment was inspired by the plethora of questions friends and followers have been asking me since the YUM Project began. I can’t begin to tell you how moved I have been by the droves of email inquiries, social media messages, phone calls and in-person questions YUM and my speaking engagements have prompted! With such a demand, it will be terrific to be able to offer my reflections and information to an even broader audience.
If you have any topics or questions that you would like me to address, I’d love to hear from you!
