From Allergic Living Magazine to GoDairyFree…
Saying that becoming a “cookbook author” has been an adventure is in many ways an understatement. This is especially the case when you understand that the whole experience really bordered on being surreal and magical.
Who would have expected that this fiery mom who never really wanted to cook would find herself receiving glowing reviews in many of the most respected print and online magazines and blogs, receive the most sought-after “starred” Publishers Weekly Review, a Kirkus Review, and then go on to win several of the highest awards and accolades possible in the cookbook genre, including the 2015 Gourmand Canadian Championship and 2016 Gourmand Best In The World Award?
Given all of this, you can imagine how this review and recipe was an unexpected bonus. As if the full spread in the Gluten-Free Living Magazine and the review in Allergic Living Magazine (two of the most esteemed trade publications for those living with celiac disease, food allergies, and other food sensitivities) were not enough, the bonus honour of receiving an additional wonderful review by ALISA FLEMING in GoDairyFree.org was a very special unexpected bonus. Then, if you can believe it, I JUST discovered while writing this blog yet another feature in GoDairyFree.org where YUM was named as one of “The Best Earth Day Books for Food Lovers” for 2016! It seriously doesn’t get much better than this!
If you Love Soup Like I Do…
While still in the thick of the chill of winter, for me there’s not much that can top the pleasure of indulging in a delectable warm soup.
GET RECIPE: YUM’s Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Cream Soup
Because all of my recipes in YUM are free of gluten, dairy, potatoes, sugar, and other animal products, most people can share the joy of feasting with you as you relish in the pleasure that delicious food-sharing can offer. It makes me happy to be able to offer you a tiny glimpse of what you will enjoy when you devour this award winning bestseller: YUM: Plant-Based Recipes For A Gluten-Free Diet!

A 2016 “Best in the World” Gourmand Award Winner, YUM: plant-based recipes for a gluten-free diet, has a scope that extends far beyond the typical cookbook in any genre.
EAT Magazine’s 2016 BEST GIFT PICK, YUM: plant-based recipes for a gluten-free diet makes healthy eating delicious, even if you or your loved ones have allergies or food restrictions. YUM is a perfect gift for anyone desiring to live a healthier, more vibrant or conscious life.
“YUM is a masterpiece in several ways” (Sandra Cabot MD). The soulfully written 368-page lifestyle/art book is perhaps the first entirely plant-based book that does not promote veganism or any other special diet. With its one-of-a-kind 10-page Special Diet & Allergy Chart and all recipes easy enough for a twelve-year-old to make, YUM makes navigating multiple dietary needs a breeze.
Kids, teens and adults alike enjoy relishing in the beauty and deliciousness the book has to offer, whether or not they
have special dietary needs. However, YUM is a game-changing “must-have” for those who live with food sensitivities, autoimmune challenges, heart disease, cancer, autism, ADD, or diabetes.
